HOW CAN YOU HELP ?

The people of the D. R. Congo can handle their defense and protection, provided there is nobody to hamper that will.
There have been repeated attempts that were temporary successful but later on hampered by some unknown force. The United Nations mission (MONUC) has stopped several liberation fights against the terrorists to advocate for peace and negociations with them.

Helping with money and other methods is a relief but will not to put an end to the Femicide. The best help is to help those who can put a stop to it.

Although the "Robin Hoods" of the Kivu have been shut-up, they still exist and they are the true liberators who need support. Ask the people of the D. R. Congo, especially the inhabitants of Bukavu which military or activist has been recalled or removed after giving hope fighting the terrorists committing the Femicide.
There are names such as Mbuza Mabe, a military commander and Foka Mike, another soldier.

ANOTHER WAY TO HELP
Call the member of your parliament or congress and ask them to enact legislation that will stop any trade of minerals from the area where the Femicide is being perpetrated.
The assistance of government of countries neighboring the D. R. Congo will be needed for that.

INFORMATION
Although the Congo-Zaire does not have infrastructures and a way to record all these atrocities, beware of believing all that comes in newspapers or documentaries.
If you can, go to the location or ask the people from the Congo.
True information is with the people who have undergone all the suffering.The media seems too shy to tell the stories of the people and they seem to only publish what would be interesting to their readers or audience.

FINANCIAL HELP
There are organization that local people trust, ask them. They usually work with the Panzi hospital which can also tell which organization is best supportive of the relief work.
So far, V-Day has been the most trusted organization in the area.
Assisting other organizations should be thoroughly assessed.
