GENESIS OF THE FEMICIDE
The Femicide in the Kivu region of the D. R. Congo started in 1998. It first consisted of a direct physical killing of women. Some were simply buried alive in the villages of Makobola, Kasika, Katogota, Mwenga, etc.
That took place soon after President Laurent Kabila thanked the Rwandan troops that helped his alliance topple President Mobutu Sese Seko and asked them to return to their country.
Two weeks later, Rwanda helped a new made-up coalition attack the Congo with the agenda to overthrow Kabila.
They flew over the country from the East to the West to overtake the capital. They took over the electric dam of Inga where they cut the power to the capital and water supply for several days.
That caused many deaths, especially the sick in hospitals, children and babies in incubators. But when they failed to take over the capital because of resistance from friendly nations to the Congo, they returned to the East and there started the Femicide.
CHANGE IN THE METHOD
The initial method for the Femicide was too blunt to be sustained without waking up the international community. It needed to be "perfected".
It changed the same year 1998 soon after the massacre in those villages. The new scheme was what we are witnessing now : destroying the reproductive system of women but keep them alive.
Traumatizing their husbands and sons, rendering them impotent.
The results are the same but much harder to trace or investigate and therefore making a clean and quiet extermination.
That is verified by the fact that for the last 10 years, this Femicide has run unspoken about.
And a genocide cannot be claimed because the women are kept alive.
